Valentine’s Day is a great day to let that special someone know just how much you care. Whether you’re coming up on your first V-Day together, or you’ve lost track of how many heart-shaped boxes you’ve exchanged, don’t stop with just a card and candy! There are plenty of ways to spend some quality time with your love and celebrate the day.
A Bite To Eat
Looking to grab a bite with your honey on this special day? Starter’s Sports Bar & Grill in downtown Williamson will be offering a Valentine’s Day special with three different entrée options: prime rib, seared scallops, and bourbon glazed salmon. Dinner will be offered from noon to 9, and while they’re accepting reservations, a reservation is not required.
You’ll also find lunch and dinner specials at King’s Korner Restaurant, The Steakhouse, and The Corner Café!
If you prefer staying in, why not cook a meal together at home? If you’re looking for a tasty new recipe, the Spicy Black Bean Burrito recipe recently shared by Williamson Forward Local Coordinator Chris Dotson would be great. Bonus: it’s meatless, and super healthy!
To-Do
If you and your significant other love all things spooky and wait all year round for Halloween, the Old Hospital On College Hill is definitely the perfect spot for a Valentine’s Day date night. They’ll be offering the Bloody Valentine’s Dinner and Flashlight Tour from February 12 until Valentine’s Day. The tour will include dinner from a local restaurant, and a 30 minute flashlight tour of some of the hospital’s paranormal hot-spots. You must buy your ticket in advance.
Maybe the thought of the old hospital gives you goosebumps-- we don’t blame you!-- maybe you just want to stay in this year. Either way, there’s more to do than just put on a movie! Why not plan a two-person paint and sip at home? Throw on some Bob Ross, or find a tutorial on Pinterest and spend some time creating something beautiful while enjoying snacks at home!

The South Side Mall has you covered if you need something from Bath & Body Works, or if your Valentine prefers clothes, stop in one of the clothing stores at the mall to shop.
If you’re looking to give the gift of health, a gift certificate to Downtown Yoga or City Gym, both located in Williamson, would be perfect ideas!
We hope you make this Valentine’s Day one to remember!
