Though it’s winter in Williamson, the Hatfield-McCoy Trails are still as popular as ever.
Winter Wonderland
The condition of the Hatfield-McCoy trails changes regularly, depending on the seasons and the recent weather patterns. The main thing influencing the condition of the trails is the amount of snow and rain the area has received, and Williamson’s wet winters tend to make the trails harder than usual to navigate.
Good Weather Means Good Business
Harsh weather hasn’t been a concern for recent visitors. December 2018 and January 2019 have had milder weather than Williamson’s past winters, and there hasn’t been much snowfall. Though some kids in the area might be disappointed, it’s been good for business. Chris Zeto, who works for the Hatfield-McCoy trails, said that the trails have been seeing more business than usual for this time of year.
