Come On Barbie, Let's Go Party!

Girls Night Out 2023

Fun for a Cause

For years, the Williamson Women’s Club has hosted a Girl’s Night Out in order to raise money for the Tug Valley Recovery Shelter, which assists victims across Mingo and Logan counties. “Domestic violence awareness is a signature project,” says Williamson Woman’s Club Member Leigh Ann Ray.

Every year, Girl’s Night Out centers on a specific theme, be it a period of time in history or a film or tv show, and this year, they’ve picked something special: Barbie!

“Our club president, Natalie Taylor, researched different themes and presented them to us,”Leigh Ann says. “And they voted unanimously for Barbie!”

Those in attendance are invited and encouraged to dress up as their favorite Barbie, or make up the Barbie they think should exist!

Bringing Women Together

Leigh Ann and the other members of the Women’s Club are excited for this event and what it represents to the community. “This event is just so much fun. It’s the only large event in our area where all ladies have the opportunity to come out, have a good time, and support a great cause in the process.”

This year, Girl’s Night Out will be Friday, May 5, 2023 at 6pm at the Historic Williamson Field House. Tickets can be purchased by messaging Leigh Ann Ray on Facebook, and you can visit the Facebook event page for more details!
