The Mingo County Family Resource Network will host their Community Baby Shower on Tuesday, Jun 28, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Williamson Community Center in West Williamson.
According to Mingo County FRN Executive Director Amy Dearfield-Hannah they have hosted this event for several years. However, due to numerous circumstances, the event hasn’t been held since 2019. This community-based event is open to expectant mothers and those with children up to age 12 months. Participants must be a resident of Mingo County.
Amy tells us the Community Baby Shower is designed to provide resource information and connections for expecting and new moms. Presentations on car seat safety, infant safe medications, when to utilize the hospital emergency room, and home fire safety plans will also be presented. Resource tables will also be set-up during the shower.
