Shall We Do Brunch?

According to the GFWC-WV Williamson Woman’s Club the social season has arrived! If you’re a fan of the hit Netflix series, “Bridgerton”, you’ll be interested in the upcoming Bridgerton Brunch to be hosted by the club.

Fans of Bridgerton know Lady Whistledown is an anonymous character keeping tabs and reporting on things happening around Bridgerton. Recently, Lady Whistledown published a letter on the Williamson Woman’s Club Facebook page informing readers about the Bridgerton Themed Brunch to be held on May 1st. The brunch will be hosted in the Grand Ballroom of the Historic Mountaineer Hotel. Tickets are available now at a cost of $30.00 per person. Brunch will be catered by 34:ate, with each attendee receiving their food in a pink box tied with a ribbon. The club will also conduct a raffle for a few items during the event.

Williamson Woman’s Club President, Chris Dotson says, “With the past year and some months we’ve all experienced, our club wanted to have a small social event so we can start reconnecting with our friends and have a little fun. With the popularity of the Bridgerton series, we thought it would be a great theme for brunch. Of course, the beautiful Mountaineer Hotel ballroom provides the perfect setting for the event.”

The event will be small, which means a limited amount of tickets are available. If you’d like to purchase your tickets, club member Leigh Ann Ray is handling all ticket purchases for the event. Leigh Ann can be contacted at 606-794-3564 or by email at newsdiva@suddenlink.net.

For more details about the event, check out the Bridgerton Brunch Facebook event page.

If you’re wondering about the annual Girls Night Out event typically hosted in May by the Williamson Woman's Club, Chris tells us they have a larger GNO type of event planned for later in the year. GNO is a fundraiser the club hosts for the Tug Valley Recovery Shelter.
