Speak Up!
“I’m going to say my favorite teacher was Mrs. Ada Adkins at Lenore Grade School. She always believed in me and told me I could do anything I wanted.”
– Steve Burke
“My favorite teacher was Gail Morgan at Williamson High School. She taught senior English/literature. She loved what she taught, which made her class and learning enjoyable. Her husband, Fred Morgan is a close second. He taught Spanish.”
– Angie Brock
“My favorite teacher? I’ve had lots of great teachers like Jo Agnes Anderson and Rose McCoy, but I have to say our band director Larry Surber impacted me the most. I felt like a nobody and he turned me into a phenomenal drummer and leader. I became section leader in our high school band, First Chair drummer for Mingo County, West Virginia schools and Third Chair in the entire state. I never dreamed of signing up for band at Williamson High School would change my entire life.”
- Ralphie Hall
“This is a very easy question to answer. My favorite teacher was Mrs. Sonya Picklesimer. She was a tough teacher, but we learned the most from her. She also made learning fun.”
- Angel Venturino
