The Sanger Gallery: When Every Leaf Becomes a Flower

On Saturday, September 23rd, The Sanger Gallery in The Collective Retail and Artisan Shops will host a new gallery exhibit: When Every Leaf Becomes a Flower. This new exhibit features the photography of Randall Sanger and is devoted to his portrayals of the elegance of nature found during the magical autumn season.

When asked what inspired this exhibit, Randall explains the magical colors of the autumn season are his inspirations.

“It is remarkable to me to watch a sunrise light up a landscape full of vivid red, orange, and/or yellow. Or seeing a reflection of those same colors on a calm lake. The autumn season is the perfect time to be a photographer, and I always enjoy chasing those magical colors throughout West Virginia and beyond,” says Randall.

While those attending will marvel at the beauty of his photography, Randall has several goals he hopes to achieve through his exhibit openings. Randall says, “I hope to further strengthen the budding arts movement in our area by offering exhibits like this in my gallery. The opening receptions for these exhibits are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate local art in downtown Williamson.”

He notes he loves to share his work with others, and the exhibits offer him a chance to gain valuable feedback about his work, network with current and potential clients, and to provide glimpses of our region and West Virginia to locals and tourists alike.

Now that you’re ready to make plans to attend When Every Leaf Becomes a Flower, what can you expect that evening? Randall explains those attending the opening reception can expect to see autumn landscape photography scenes featuring images captured locally and throughout West Virginia.

“The feature images include newer photographs that are being displayed for the first time, while other images are personal and client favorites,”he says.

Additionally, Old Mountain Field Fine Arts and Crafts are providing Farm to Table appetizers and desserts, and CC Coffee and Tea Interest will be providing beverage options.

Randall adds, “It promises to be a fun evening of celebrating local art and promoting local small businesses in The Collective Retail and Artisan Shops. I am looking forward to seeing everyone.”

The exhibit opening is Saturday, September 23rd from 5pm-8pm at The Sanger Gallery in The Collective Retail and Artisan Shops located on 2nd Avenue in downtown Williamson across from the Mingo County Courthouse. This exhibit will run through November 11th.
