Young Entrepreneurs Day and Summer Arts + Crafts Market Set for Saturday, July 16

The Tug Valley Chamber of Commerce Summer Arts + Crafts Market and their 3rd Annual Young Entrepreneurs Day are scheduled for Saturday, July 16th from 10 am - 3 pm inside the Williamson Field House. This year, the TVCC has partnered with Williamson Parks and Recreation to host these two events.

Young Entrepreneurs Day

This is the 3rd year for the Young Entrepreneurs Day program for the TVCC. Earlier this year, the Chamber opened the application process for young entrepreneurs aged 8-18 to apply to be part of YED. The participants are given the opportunity to run their own small business for the day during the event. All items must be handmade by the participants. Each young entrepreneur is also assigned a business coach from the TVCC membership to give them tips and suggestions on how to have a successful day of sales. Nine YED booths will be set up this year. Here’s the 2022 YED list:

Lele and Maxie Brock for Sprinkles’ Sweets

Sawyer James for Sawyer’s Lemonade

Isabella Curry and Ally Wallace for Tinsel Time Hair

Josie Thomas and Courtney Muncy for JC Beads

Katelynn Reed for Lucky Pet Boutique

Becca Robinette for Becca’s Clay Creations

Cheyanne Smith and Kyla Curry for KC Crafts

Molly Blankenship for The Handmade Hippie

Kylee Thompson for Kylee’s Dog Treats (human treats, too)

This program was started by the TVCC to give young entrepreneurs a chance to learn a little more about small business ownership and hopefully, serve as a catalyst for the next generation of local small business owners.

Summer Arts + Crafts Market

Also, happening on Saturday alongside Young Entrepreneurs Day will be the Summer Arts + Crafts Market. With over 20 vendors and small businesses scheduled to set up for the day, you’ll find a wide array of unique items to buy!

Vendor products include handmade macrame, soaps and beauty products, woodworking, home decor, photography, artwork, handcrafted jewelry, tumblers, home signs, t-shirts, Bison coolers and cups, cooking supplies, foods, and so much more!

Stop by the Williamson Field House on Saturday, July 16th from 10 am-3 pm to support the young entrepreneurs and all of the small businesses set up that day!

You’ll find more information about these events on the Tug Valley Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
