In a World Where You Can Be Anything, Be Kind.

Happy World Kindness Day! World Kindness Day was created in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement to highlight the importance of good deeds and treating others with kindness. To celebrate, Williamson Forward has some ideas on how to share the love.

Helping Your Community

Good deeds are a big part of the original concept for World Kindness Day, so why not make that a part of how you celebrate? Help a neighbor by raking their leaves, or let the car next to you merge into traffic. If you can’t resist your daily cup of joe, why not pay it forward by paying for the person behind you in line?

Show Them You Care

If you’d like to show some kindness to the people in your life, why not reach out? Everyone can use a little TLC, especially when winter weather and social distancing might be making things a little harder. Reach out to a loved one over phone or text to tell them how much they mean to you, or cook a nice breakfast for your family to kick off World Kindness Day.

These are all great ideas, but maybe you want to do a little more. You could always donate money to a charity with a purpose close to your heart, or donate to the Tug Valley Recovery Shelter or your local domestic violence shelter. If it’s the furry friends that truly warm your heart, find out if a local shelter takes donations of food, treats, and beds, and pick up some things!

World Kindness Day is a great way to spread a little warmth, especially during this time of year. How will you celebrate World Kindness Day on November 13?
