Bikers Giving Back

On Saturday, August 24, Mountain State Harley-Davidson hosted a charity ride for the Underprivileged Children of West Virginia Foundation. The ride was led by Mountain State’s Southern Appalachian H.O.G (Harley Owners Group) Chapter.

The result? Success!

According to Shane Keefer of MSHD, they had a great turnout for this first-time ride supporting the Underprivileged Children’s Foundation. The organizers are ready to make next year’s ride even bigger! Mike Wilson, a MSHD employee said, “It was an amazing day and we’re already looking forward to the next ride!”

The Underprivileged Children Foundation is a non-profit organization seeking to advance and enhance the lives of West Virginia children and families in need. This group offers services to families in need such as back to school supplies, Christmas gifts, and recently launched their “Uplifted” campaign. Through this campaign the foundation is looking for donations of various supplies like clothing, food, and school supplies to be distributed to those in need. They are also partnering with local businesses to raise awareness for underprivileged children. Through the ride, a check for $1,000 was presented to UCF.
